Bilingual & Spanish
One script that moves between English and Spanish, or a ceremony entirely in Spanish.
Bilingual weddings · Bodas bilingües
One script, not a translation
English and Spanish alternate, each line moving the story on, so nothing is ever said twice.
Your vows, in your own language
Many couples say their vows in their mother tongue, with the meaning carried for everyone in the room.
Both families, fully included
Grandparents from Madrid or Bogotá follow every word, just as closely as friends from London or Belfast.
Traditions from both sides
Las arras and el lazo sit naturally beside a Celtic handfasting, each explained in both languages.
Ambas familias, plenamente incluidas
A free 30-minute conversation with no obligation. We talk about the day you picture, and you decide whether I am the right person to hold it.
A questionnaire, a longer chat and a first draft written entirely from scratch: your quirks, your history, your in-jokes. You change anything you like, as many times as you like, until it could not belong to another couple.
I arrive early, settle your nerves, work with your photographer and venue, and deliver the ceremony exactly as rehearsed. A keepsake copy of the script follows.
One script that moves between English and Spanish, or a ceremony entirely in Spanish.
A full ceremony written from scratch, from your first phone call to the final vows.
Two people, a hillside and a witness or two. Small does not mean less considered.
“There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved.”
George Sand
“Half our guests flew in from Seville. Not one of them missed a word.”
“She wrote our story better than we could have told it ourselves.”
“Four in the morning, on a hill, in the rain. Absolutely perfect.”
Perfecto.»
It sounds a little cliché, but I truly love love. Becoming a celebrant felt like the most natural step: I adore meeting new people, hearing their strange and specific stories, and having the honour of turning them into something spoken aloud.
A wedding is one of the most intimate moments of a life, and my job is to make sure it sounds like yours and nobody else’s. Every ceremony I write starts on a blank page: your quirks, your history, the in-jokes only your friends will catch.
I keep a base in South East England, covering London and Hertfordshire, and another in Northern Ireland, and I travel for weddings across both. I am just as at home on a clifftop at dawn as in a Home Counties barn at four in the afternoon.
And because I am fluent in Spanish as well as English, families who do not share a language can share the same ceremony, which is, quietly, my favourite part of the job.
English and Spanish woven into one script so neither family sits through a translation.
The full experience: consultation, questionnaire, an original script, unlimited drafts and delivery on the day.
Just the two of you, somewhere wild and early. I bring the words, the witnesses if you need them, and nothing else.
Your hands bound with cords chosen by the people who matter most. The origin of “tying the knot”.
Two flames from two families become one. Beautiful indoors, and stubbornly romantic outdoors.
Two wines poured into one glass and shared. Two grapes, two regions, and often two countries.
Layered colours that cannot be unmixed. A favourite for blended families and children.
Your rings passed through every pair of hands in the room, gathering a wish from each.
Vows spoken while holding a stone from a place that means something, then kept or returned to the sea.

Everywhere between

In Northern Ireland, yes, I can conduct your legal marriage. In England, including London and Hertfordshire, celebrant-led weddings are not yet legally binding, so couples complete a short registry signing and I lead the ceremony itself. Reform is expected, though no date has been confirmed yet.
I write one script rather than two. Sections alternate between English and Spanish, each carrying the story forward, so nothing is repeated and the ceremony keeps its pace. Vows, readings and ritual explanations can be split however you like, many couples say their vows in their mother tongue.
All London and Hertfordshire weddings include travel as standard. Beyond that I work anywhere in England and Northern Ireland, with travel and accommodation quoted honestly at cost.
Most couples book nine to eighteen months ahead, but I keep space for short-notice elopements. If your date is close, ask anyway, it costs nothing to check.
Every word, from a blank page. You will see a first draft, then as many redrafts as you need. Nothing is ever read aloud that you have not already approved.
My ceremonies are secular, but I love to blend traditions from different cultures. Traditions are welcome in a cultural rather than religious context.
